"Their breakfast sets are hearty and bursting with flavor. The food presentation is uniquely funky and eye-catching, enticing you to enjoy more. I doubt I’ll have room for lunch after this meal. To top it off, their coffee surpasses any commercial brands I’ve tried. My wife insists that whenever we visit Batam, we must stop by this café."

"The food was better compared to another cafe which is pricey and not as yummy. The carbonara was well cooked and good for sharing if not will be too creamy. The wings is well fried till crispy and coated with sauce. There's a variety of waffles and corissant. The outdoor deco is instagrammable with clear blue sky. Will visit again whenever I go batam."

"Had a really lovely time at Hoods Cafe in Batam. The ambience instantly reminded me of Bali. Warm, relaxed, and very comfortable to just sit back and enjoy the space. There is a good variety of food on the menu, from mains to pasta and rice bowls. My personal favourite has to be the breakfast options. The loaded scrambled eggs were a highlight. The portion of smoked salmon was very generous and I liked the slightly tangy taste which made it more interesting and not jelak. The beef ragu pasta was spicy yet familiar, giving that comforting, homey feel. We also tried the honey butter toast which you can request to be heated up. It paired really nicely with my latte. The cheese sticks were another pleasant surprise, fully filled with mozzarella and very satisfying. The staff were superb, very attentive, alert to guests’ needs, and aware of what was happening around them without being intrusive. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely love to come back again and bring more people along next time."
